Ingredients

5 eggs
1 can condensed milk
2 measures (using the condensed milk can) of milk
1 tablespoon instant coffee powder
1 tablespoon coffee liqueur or rum (optional)
Sugar for caramelizing the mold

Where to find ingredients

Ingredients can be found in most supermarkets and grocery stores. Instant coffee, condensed milk, eggs, and sugar are widely available. Coffee liqueur or rum can be found in liquor stores or the beverage aisle of larger supermarkets.

Preparation method

  1. Prepare the caramel by melting the sugar directly in the flan mold over low heat
  2. Spread the caramel over the sides of the mold
  3. In a blender, add the eggs, condensed milk, milk, instant coffee, and liqueur (if using)
  4. Blend all ingredients until a homogeneous mixture is obtained
  5. Pour the mixture into the caramelized mold
  6. Cover the mold with aluminum foil
  7. Bake in a water bath in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 1 hour, or until the flan is firm
  8. Remove the flan from the oven and let it cool completely before refrigerating
  9. After chilling, unmold the flan onto a serving plate
  10. Serve chilled
