Where to find ingredients

In the United States, ingredients for Sonhos can typically be found in several places:

- **Supermarkets:** Most large supermarkets will carry basic ingredients like all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, butter, eggs, milk, vegetable oil, heavy cream, and semi-sweet chocolate. Vanilla extract is also widely available. Cornstarch can usually be found in the baking aisle.

- **Latin or Brazilian Markets:** Specialty stores focusing on Latin American or specifically Brazilian ingredients are the best place to find fresh yeast if you cannot find it at a large supermarket. While most common ingredients are available in regular supermarkets, these markets might also carry specific brands of chocolate or jams that are popular in Brazil.

- **Online Retailers:** Many online grocery platforms and specialty food websites offer a wide range of ingredients, including yeast, specialty chocolates, and even imported goods. Check for stores that specialize in baking supplies or international foods.

- **Fresh Markets/Bakeries:** While not for packaged goods, fresh markets can be a source for high-quality butter and eggs. Some artisanal bakeries might also sell fresh yeast.

**Substitutions:**
- **Fresh Yeast:** If fresh yeast is unavailable, you can substitute it with active dry yeast or instant yeast. Use about 1/3 of the weight in dry yeast (approx. 17g of active dry yeast or 15g of instant yeast) and follow package instructions for activation if using active dry yeast.
- **Cocoa Liqueur:** This is less common. You can omit it or substitute with a teaspoon of regular cocoa powder mixed with a splash of rum or brandy for a similar flavor profile.

  21. Turn off the heat and add the chopped semi-sweet chocolate and unsalted butter
  22. Stir well until the chocolate melts completely and the mixture is smooth
