Easy and Delicious Condensed Milk Flan

Ingredients

3 eggs
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can milk (use the sweetened condensed milk can as a measure)
3 tablespoons sugar (for the caramel)

Where to find ingredients

Sweetened condensed milk and regular milk are widely available in the dairy or baking aisles of most supermarkets. Regular sugar can be found in the baking aisle. Eggs are usually found in the dairy section of supermarkets. For specialty items or if you're looking for specific brands, Latin or international food markets are your best bet. Sometimes, dedicated international food stores also carry these staples.

Preparation method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) for 10 minutes
  2. In a blender, beat the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, and milk for approximately 3 minutes, until a homogeneous mixture is obtained
  3. In a flan mold with a central hole, prepare the caramel
  4. Place the sugar in the mold and heat over low heat, stirring occasionally until it melts and forms a caramel
  5. Spread the caramel all over the inside of the mold
  6. Pour the blender mixture into the caramelized mold
  7. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes, or until the flan is golden and firm
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before refrigerating
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight, to set well
  10. To unmold, run a knife around the edges and invert the mold onto a serving plate
