- Sauté the minced garlic and chopped onion in a drizzle of olive oil in a saucepan
- Add the washed rice to the pan and fry for approximately 30 seconds, stirring constantly
- Pour the boiling water into the pan and season with salt to taste
- Lower the heat to minimum and cook until the water has almost evaporated
- Cover the pan and remove from heat
- Wait about 20 minutes for the rice to finish cooking in the steam and become fluffy before serving
