6 medium potatoes
1 cup all-purpose flour
Salt to taste
1/2 kg ground beef
1/2 chopped onion
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 can tomato sauce
Grated cheese to taste

Metodo di preparazione

  1. Cook the potatoes in water until tender
  2. Peel the potatoes and pass them through a potato masher while still warm
  3. Add the flour gradually and salt, kneading well until a homogeneous dough is obtained
  4. Place the dough on a floured surface and shape it into rolls
  5. Cut each roll into pieces of approximately 2 cm
  6. In a large pot, boil plenty of salted water
  7. When the water boils, add the gnocchi a few at a time, waiting for them to float to the surface
  8. Prepare a bowl with cold water and a colander
  9. Remove the cooked gnocchi with a slotted spoon and place them in the colander for a thermal shock
  10. Repeat the process until all the dough is cooked
  11. Drain the gnocchi well and reserve in a baking dish
  12. Finely chop the onion and sauté in a pan with olive oil
  13. Add the ground beef and beef bouillon cubes to the sautéed onion
  14. Stir well and, after the meat is cooked, add the tomato sauce
  15. Let the sauce cook for another 4 minutes
  16. Pour the meat sauce over the reserved gnocchi
  17. Sprinkle grated cheese on top
  18. Bake in the oven until golden brown
  19. Serve hot
