500 g vegetable shortening
1 teaspoon salt
290 ml chilled guarana soda
1 kg ground beef
Salt and seasonings to taste for the beef
1 egg yolk for brushing

Preparation method

  1. In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, vegetable shortening, and salt
  2. Gradually add the chilled guarana soda and mix until you obtain a homogeneous dough that holds together
  3. Do not over-knead
  4. Divide the dough into portions and roll out each portion to assemble the pastels, forming discs
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing the ground beef with salt and your favorite seasonings
  6. Do not pre-cook the meat
