Where to find ingredients

Preparation method
- In a large pot, add the sugar, orange rinds, lemon rinds, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon sticks
- Place over medium heat and stir occasionally until the sugar begins to melt and caramelize lightly
- Carefully add the cachaça and water to the pot
- Mix well to dissolve the caramel
- Let the drink cook over medium heat for about 20 to 25 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld
- After cooking, strain the liquid to remove the spices and rinds
- Add the chopped apple to the strained quentão
- If desired, keep warm over low heat before serving
