Traditional Festa Junina Mulled Cachaça (Quentão)

Ingredients

1 bottle cachaça (600 ml)
600 ml water
500 g sugar
Peel of 2 oranges
Peel of 1 lemon
50 g ginger, cut into small pieces
Whole cloves, to taste
Cinnamon sticks, to taste
1 apple, cut into small pieces
